Coping With Stress During the Holidays
Coping with stress on a daily basis is a challenge in and of itself. But when the extra pressure of holiday stresses are added to the mix you can become overwhelmed, anxious and exhausted. Holiday anxiety can stem from gift-giving (what should I give my mother-in-law?) to entertaining (how can I get my house ready in time?). The whole season breeds holiday stress. Throw in money issues, weight gain, insanely busy schedules, bad weather, and no time to exercise – and you’re coping with stress on a monumental scale. Even people who do not view themselves as depressed may develop stress responses, such as headaches, excessive drinking, overeating and insomnia. Others may experience post-holiday sadness after the New Year's celebrations have ended and life goes back to normal. What can you do to reduce your holiday stress? One of the most effective ways to cope with holiday stress is to apply EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) to your particular needs. Here’s an audio to help you get started.
