If you are not yet familiar with EFT please acquaint yourself with the EFT Tapping Points diagram below. Find each point on your body and tap 7-8 times each, gently but firmly.

Let’s begin with what brought you to a this page about EFT and weight loss in the first place. If you’re like millions of others, you’ve tried diets, exercise programs and lifestyle changes. Maybe you’ve even turned to surgery for relief. Maybe you’ve had some success along the way and even reached your goal a time or two. But you know all too well what happens next, right? The pounds begin to return and your emotions begin to spiral out of control and the white-knuckling of deprivation becomes too much. So you say to yourself with determination, "tomorrow I’m going back to my program.” Some months later you find yourself carrying around more weight than ever before. You may have changed your conscious eating behaviours for a period of time, but it’s always the negative emotions that send you back to eating for comfort and relief. So goes the cycle of emotional eating. In desperation you ask yourself, ‘What’s it going to take to get me stop overeating? Do I have become catastrophically ill or end up alone on a deserted island to lose this weight?.’ You may be asking yourself now, 'Is there an EFT weight loss formula that can work for me?

EFT helps you release the blocked energy responsible for the negative emotions that send you running to food. Begin by assessing how you feel about your weight and your body right now. What do you hate most about being overweight? What do you say to yourself when you look in the mirror? How do you feel when you eat with others or alone? How do you feel when you’re sitting next to a thin person? Rate your answer to each of these questions on a scale of 0-10 with 0 being no feeling at all and 10 being the strongest this feeling has ever been, where do find yourself now? Please jot the numbers down now._______ ______________________________________________________________ Do any of these EFT statements reflect how you feel? Choose from the following recorded ‘I’m angry because…’ statements, then listen and tap along.
1. I’m angry because… I let myself get this overweight.
2. I’m angry because… it’s not my fault that I’m overweight, it’s in my genes.
3. I’m angry because… even if I were miraculously thin tomorrow, I’d still have to work to maintain it.
4. I’m angry because… without food I’d have no escape or comfort.
5. I’m angry because… The world caters to thin people. (clothes, airline seats, lawn chairs)
6. I’m angry because… I feel so trapped in my body.
7. I’m angry because… people don’t try to get to know me, they only see my overweight body.
