Anger Statements

One of the most effective ways to learn EFT is to follow along as a seasoned 'tapper' leads the way.

This page is designed so that you may choose a statement from the list below beginning with the phrase ‘I’m angry because…’ , then listen to the corresponding audio and tap along with the recording.

If you are not yet familiar with EFT please acquaint yourself with the Tap Map below. Find each point on your body and tap 7-8 times each, gently but firmly.

For clarification, the point on the hand, called the Karate Chop point is located between the base of your little finger and your wrist, on the side of your hand.

Tapping these points gives you access to your energy channels, commonly referred to as meridians. These are the same channels used by an acupuncturist.

Along with the tapping you will be repeating some phrases specifically designed to release anger and stress related to weight and food issues. I’ll be leading you step-by-step through the tapping process.

Since EFT is a self-help tool the following series of audios are designed to help you learn the intuitiveness of the EFT process.

You will learn how to literally ‘go with the flow’-that is, the flow of your own energy patterns to get to the reasons why you use food the way you do and why you’re angry now.

As you release energy that has been ‘stuck’, sometimes for years, you will begin to experience food, eating and life in a whole new way.

Here’s what you will need before we begin:

* A pen and paper
* A glass of water to drink
* A quiet, private place to work


Let’s begin with what brought you to listen to this audio in the first place. If you’re like me and millions of others, you’ve tried diets, exercise programs and lifestyle changes.

Maybe you’ve even turned to surgery for relief. Maybe you’ve had some success along the way and even reached your goal a time or two. What happens next?

For a while there is a feeling of exhilaration and excitement. Then, invariably, the pounds begin to return, and to make matters worse, they’re bringing some of their friends with them.

Your emotions begin to spiral out of control and the white-knuckling of deprivation becomes too much. So you eat to calm yourself down.

“Whew! That’s better, but tomorrow I’m going back to my program” you say with determination.

Some months later you find yourself carrying around more weight than ever before.

You may have changed your conscious eating behaviors for a period of time, but it’s always the negative emotions that send you back to eating for comfort and relief. So goes the cycle of emotional eating.

In desperation you ask yourself, ‘What’s it going to take to get me stop overeating? Do I have become catastrophically ill or end up alone on a deserted island to lose this weight?.’

Begin by assessing how you feel about your weight and your body right now.

What do you hate most about being overweight?

What do you say to yourself when you look in the mirror?

How do you feel when you eat with others or alone?

How do you feel when you’re sitting next to a thin person?

Rate your answer to each of these questions on a scale of 0-10 with 0 being no feeling at all and 10 being the strongest this feeling has ever been, where do find yourself now? Please jot the numbers down now._______

Next, please choose an "I’m angry because… " audio from the list below and begin listening whenever you’re ready.

Be sure to customize the words or statements if you like, to fit your own patterns of speech.
